My1sttoday: FBI: Pipe bombs were planted at Democrats and Republicans party headquarters on Jan. 5th. The FBI released a new wanted poster on Friday revealing that two pipe bombs that were placed near the party headquarters and discovered during the Capitol riots on Jan. 6 were planted there the night before.
According to the newly released information, the bombs were placed between 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 5. The poster also includes information on the suspected pipe bomber, noting they appeared to be wearing black, yellow and gray Nike Air Max Speed Turf sneakers on the night of the incident.

Federal officials have also increased the reward for more details on the suspect to up to $100,000, according to the poster. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) along with the FBI previously increased the reward for any information leading to the person who placed the bombs to $75,000 earlier this month. The initial reward was $50,000. FBI has increased the reward to $100,000.
D.C.’s Metropolitan Police Department originally recovered and removed both pipe bombs from the Democratic National Committee and the Republican National Committee on Jan. 6. Each device was placed out in the open and did not explode, CNN reported.
